I’m Douglas Steele, founder of Blue Maria LLC, established in Michigan in 2025 with a mission to provide high-quality, scalable commercial productions for local, national, and international clients. As a VFX/CGI artist and cinematographer with over a decade of freelance experience, I bring both creative vision and technical expertise to every project. I’m also wrapping up my Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Cinematography from Full Sail University, ready to take my craft to even greater heights.

I shoot with industry-leading cameras including the RED Dragon-X 6K, RED Komodo-X 6K, and Sony FX6 4K, supported by a full arsenal of gimbals, dollies, and lighting—primarily from the Aputure and Amaran ecosystem, with trusted Neewer and GVM gear in the mix. From DaVinci Resolve Studio and Foundry Nuke to Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, and SideFX Houdini, I have the tools to handle every stage of production, from initial concept to final polished frame.

Filmmaking has been my passion since the first time I held a camera. Whether directing narrative shorts, crafting cinematic music videos in collaboration with talented artists, or building stunning visual effects that bend reality, I approach every project with dedication and imagination.
